"Rainbow" Artwork
Light Application were engaged by prominent local artist Marcus Canning to help illuminate his now iconic new artwork “Rainbow”, located on Canning Highway overlooking the Swan River and acting as an entry statement to the City of Fremantle.
It is made from nine sea containers, spanning 9m high & 19m wide, and lighting the faces of each container proved particularly challenging. After trialing a few different fixtures, the flexibility offered via the aiming of the lens plates on the pureLED Splitwash12 WW in ground fixture proved vital in getting the light exactly where required. Needless to say all stakeholders are more than happy with Freo’s latest addition.
