The 3metre high by 18metre wide Golden Angels span the Barrack Street intersections at the end of Hay Street and Murray Street Malls.
Light Application are proud to have provided over 6000 LED’s set into spirals, strips and point sources to illuminate the decorations that are controlled by Dynalite PWM LED dimmers.
Using over 70 programmed scenes, the time based programming ensures that the sequencing is always changing and appealing.
Unlike the older “Fairy light” decorations, the LEDs are bright enough to be seen during the day, and combined with the extremely low energy draw, the Angels remain lit during the day and night.
With an anticipated LED lamp life of 70,000 hours, and the extremely robust nature of the Dynalite LED controllers, the Angels should in theory still be flying at Christmas 2040…
