The Bajamar Express for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines
Austal Australia have designed two ferries for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, the Bajamar Express and the Banaderos Express.
The ferries will be based in Tenerife and travel around the Canary Islands. After detailed design meetings and discussions with Austal, our team put together a Helvar Lighting Control solution to fit their needs. We integrated Extend software into a Genisys System to allow our team to maintain and make changes to the programming when requested, from anywhere in the world.
pureLED DT8 RGB Flextube installed over Exit/Entry doorways programmed to Red (No Entry) and Green (Entry) are integrated into the Lighting Control System for ease of monitoring and control for the client, using the Extend software package. The Helvar Lighting Control solution provides innovative Circadian Rhythm (Human-Centric) Lighting throughout the ferries for increased customer comfort.
The Bajamar Express was launched in February 2020 with the Banaderos near completion, and to follow in 2021. What fantastic additions to the Fred. Olsen Express fleet! Light Application is delighted to have been part of the lighting solution supply, programming and design for these impressive vessels.
