McLean Lane Enhancement
The City of Perth’s urban renewal of McLean Laneway in Perth’s CBD saw a number of artistic treatments added to the thoroughfare that runs between Wellington and Hay streets behind the Pier street car park.
ETC were the lighting designers and they engaged Light Application to provide the RGB downlights in the coloured lamp shades (Space Cannon Pixel 9 direct view fixtures), the Reindeer Antlers (pureLED FlexTube Arching profile) and the DMX control system (Philips Color Kinetics iPlayer3). Due to the variety of vivid colours that the lamp shades are powder coated in, making the lighting stand out was challenging, but our programmer cleverly used additive and subtractive colours to make the lighting and programmed effects stand out.
