"Earth Wall" for Gateway WA Project
As part of the Gateway WA infrastructure project, Light Application were engaged to assist with the design, and ultimately the supply, of the lighting and control systems for two major public artworks.
Sydney artist Jonathan Jones created “Earth Wall”, a layered, double faced wall constructed from Corten steel panelling with perforated sections running the length of the wall. Each wall section is internally illuminated with Philips Color Kinetics ColorGraze EC RGB linear fixtures which illuminate the perforated panel sections. The main lighting shows colour theme is based on a Shane Pickett artwork and match the artworks key theme of representing the ancient Nyoongar land.

Light Application’s customer service has been excellent to the MRA, often working to short time frames to deliver complex solutions in a demanding public open space environment.
