Perth Arena now RAC Arena

The Perth Arena, designed in joint venture by ARM Architects and Cameron Chisholm & Nicol Architects, with Electrical consultancy by WSP Lincoln Scott and Vision Lighting, opened to an excellent response from the public, Government and key stakeholders.

Light Application were proud to be chosen some 4years ago by Nilsen Contracting to provide the Philips Dynalite Lighting and Energy management system for the entire complex, including the underground carpark, back of house, functions rooms, dressing rooms, green rooms, offices, the Performance Bowl, bars, foyers, external illumination and 36 hospitality suites.

One key feature of the entire project was the flexible nature of the Philips Dynalite system, that can allow for a range of control from just one staff member controlling all facets of Lighting in the entire complex, to a whole swarm of staff operating different functions and the spaces acting independently.

With seating for up to 15,500 and an operable roof to allow natural ventilation and sky light, the venue has been a long time in the making, and now hopefully will assume its premier position for concerts, sporting events, and as a function centre for the city.
