Brookfield Place

With the entire 46 floor commercial space being pre-leased in 2011, Brookfield Place international tenants such as Brookfield Office Properties,

Barrick Gold, Price Waterhouse Coopers, & lead tenant BHP Billiton were all demanding a world class NABERS 5star energy efficient design with flexibility from the integrated fit out. Hassell Architects along with Fitzpatrick+Partners set an exacting technical specification that Brookfield Multiplex & local Electrical Contractors Everett Smith & Co worked with to design and construct the office tower.

The Philips Dynalite “Ecolinx” plug and play system was determined as the most flexible and yet economical system for the entire tower, along with the associated heritage retail precinct, comprising of the Old Perth Boys School, Royal Insurance and Newspaper House.

Utilising the Philips Dynalite lighting and energy control system throughout the approximate 86,000 sqm net lettable space, Light Application were proud to provide and commission the entire project locally with the electrical contractors, along with providing specialist Anolis LED RGBW building floods for exterior illumination of the sides of the building.

“Commissioning the sheer size of the tower has been a challenge” says Barrie Thomas, Senior Commissioning Technician, “with interfacing to Audio Visual, Blinds, Air conditioning, Lifts, Security, BMS, let alone the lighting control etc, but our local team has again excelled and been right on time for everything during the last year. All in all a really good project”.

Development approval has just been sought for the second 16 floor Premium grade office tower “Brookfield Place South”, directly alongside the main tower.
